STEP 2.1: NOMINATE CANDIDATE LEGACY DATA STORES

We now have:

  • the new system design;

  • Legacy Data Store definition forms;

  • legacy Key Business Data Area models;

  • Stage 1 Data Quality Rules documents showing the fit between Legacy Data Stores and the various legacy models;

  • System Retirement Policies.

From these we need to make comparisons, find the data gaps and the best fits between legacy data, new system data requirements and Legacy Data Store retention requirements.

So how are we going to make sense of all of this and bring the enterprise along with us?
