STEP 3.1: PHYSICAL DESIGN OF MIGRATION

The inputs for this process are

  • the Legacy Data Stores definitions qualified to a level of measured consistency by the Data Quality Rules;

  • the extract, transform and load definitions;

  • possibly Transient Data Stores created in Stage 2 that hold data gap bridging information;

  • data gap definitions from Stage 2 and embedded in Data Quality Rules documents that were judged best resolved within the Stage 3 Build, Test and Go Live;

  • Stage 2 System Retirement Policies — the physical design must be consistent with the contents of the relevant System Retirement Policies.
