In this chapter, we’ll discuss how to train a neural network. We’ll look at the standard approaches and tricks being used in the field today. There will be some math, some hand-waving, and a whole host of new terms and concepts. But you don’t need to follow the math at a deep level: we’ll gloss over things as needed to get the main point across.
