The previous two chapters have focused on image processing techniques; however, remote sensing is more than just image processing. Remote sensing data can create maps, which become particularly powerful when combined with other geographical information. Image processing packages, like the Sentinel Application Platform (SNAP), don’t have the full functionality to work in this manner.
