6. Database Connectivity

In the previous chapter, we climbed a ladder to the next level of hapi apps. We spiced the app with validations, plugins, and authentication. Here, we use the toppings, along with database connectivity, to make the skeleton for an industry-ready RESTful Web Service. Apart from our main topic of database connectivity, we find it important to introduce a few development utilities at this juncture, so that we can improve our development journey.
