If you have a fax modem, you should be able to send and receive faxes using Linux. Fax transmission and reception requires a fax modem and graphics translation of files to be sent and received. You should have your modem's technical documentation on hand, along with the efax software package. This software package includes the modem and graphics programs to translate files to be sent.
