Configuring LILO
LILO (short for Linux loader) is the standard Linux loader. This program is the most flexible of the Linux boot loaders. LILO can be configured to reside in either the master boot record of your hard disk or the boot sector of a partition of a hard disk. You will have made this decision when installing Linux; depending on your system, one or the other will work best for you.
