It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Estimators commonly attend professional training courses as a part of continuous enhancement of their skills in various areas. A professional trainer prepares well and ensures that the training sessions are conducted in a planned manner, perhaps following the pedagogic method of teaching.
