After looking at the different methods to collect data in the previous chapter, we now have notes, audio, video, and screen captures to work with. This can be a considerable amount of data. Qualitative data is very rich when you start looking at it in detail, and content analysis is an excellent method to analyze data from contextual inquiries, interviews, focus groups, and user testing. In this chapter, we’ll review several qualitative research methods that can be used to analyze user research data.
