Users should be able to navigate to another page from anywhere within the site; this is also vital for search engine optimization. It is also important that users should know exactly which page they are currently viewing. The technique described in this chapter is suitable for a small website (say up to 12 pages). For a large website you could generate the menu on each page using PHP includes and then use an interactive PHP technique to highlight the clicked menu button.
