4.3.1. Identifying WMP with ActiveX controls

If you are using a Windows system, chances are that you already have WMP up and running on your system for multimedia applications. There are a number of ways to activate this software. In particular, we have shown you at the beginning of this chapter how to use the anchor element <a> to activate WMP. In order to control WMP more effectively, you need something called ActiveX or ActiveX control.
