13.2.1. Activate email client with “Mailto”
The email (or mailto: URL) capability of a browser is a powerful feature that unfortunately is underused by many Web users. One reason for its low usage may be that users are not aware of its multiple and controllable features. For example, the multiple attributes support the cc, bcc, subject, and body fields. For many applications, including the handling of user feedback, signing up for a mail list on product promotions, or newsletters and complaints, the ability to activate a mail client locally and assemble a mail message is essential and deserves more attention from Web developers.
