Nachdem wir uns im letzten Kapitel direkt in einen ausführbaren Prozess gestürzt haben, wollen wir nun einen Schritt zurückgehen und einige der Dinge, die du gerade gesehen hast, genauer untersuchen. Wir beginnen mit der Prozessmodellierungssprache, mit der du einen Entwurf deines Prozesses erstellen kannst, der von einer Workflow-Engine ausgeführt werden kann. Eine solche Sprache kann eine Abfolge von Aufgaben und alles Drumherum ausdrücken, wie Entscheidungspunkte, parallele Aufgaben und Synchronisationspunkte.
Verschiedene Tools können unterschiedliche Prozessmodellierungssprachen verwenden. In diesem Buch werde ich BPMN verwenden, und zwar aus zwei Gründen: Es ist ein anerkannter Standard, und er ist großartig. Warum sie so großartig ist, werde ich in "Prozessmodellierungssprachen" näher erläutern , aber zuerst muss ich die Grundlagen erklären.
