Importing Still Images

Although individual images are only single frames, you can set them to play back in the program for any duration. Also, if the aspect ratio of the image doesn’t match the project’s aspect ratio (usually 4:3), you must specify whether Premiere should maintain the still image’s original proportions or resize it to fit the screen.

To set the default duration for still images before you import them:
