Importing Photoshop Files

Premiere can import files created in Photoshop 3.0 or later. It can even import a single layer from a multiple-layer Photoshop file. Premiere also recognizes an alpha channel in a Photoshop file, so you can use it to define transparent areas (see Chapter 12, “Creating Titles”).

To import separate Photoshop layers:

In the Project window, click the bin into which you want to import a clip to select it (Figure 3.30).

The bin is highlighted, and the clip area displays the current contents of the bin.
