Adding, Deleting, and Naming Tracks

By default, the timeline opens with two video tracks and three audio tracks. Although this number is adequate for many projects, Premiere permits you to have as many as 99 video and 99 audio tracks in the timeline. What’s more, you can name all those tracks, so it’s much easier to discern the sound-effects track from the music and dialog tracks, for example.

To add tracks:

At the bottom of the Timeline window, click the track options button (Figure 6.4)

The Track Options dialog box appears.
