DV Playback Options
The playback options discussed in this chapter have default settings that are specified when you select a project preset. But just as you would modify project settings, you may also want to adjust the playback settings associated with a DV project preset.
You can specify whether DV footage is displayed on an NTSC monitor only (through a DV camcorder or deck), on your computer screen, or both. You can also decide whether scrubbing the timeline will output video and audio to your camcorder or deck.
To use these options, your FireWire interface must be connected to a DV camcorder (set to VTR mode) or DV deck, which in turn must be connected to an NTSC (television) monitor.
