Mixing and Playing in the Audio Mixer
Using the audio mixer is comparable to using a traditional mixing console that can automate adjustments. In other words, the audio mixer records your adjustments in real time. Afterward, you can set the Audio Mixer window to read, or play back, the adjustments you made.
To adjust an audio track, you set its corresponding channel in the Audio Mixer window to automation write mode. To hear the adjustments you made, set the channel to automation read mode. To leave a track untouched, choose neither option for the channel in the Audio Mixer window.
