Using Export Plug-Ins
Premiere 6.5 includes extremely useful plug-in modules for optimizing exported video for DVD or low-data-rate media such as CD-ROM or the Web.
To compress video to lower data rates, Premiere takes advantage of Microsoft’s and Apple’s respective movie architectures, Windows Media and QuickTime. Both the Advanced Windows Media Export and QuickTime File Exporter include an extensive list of presets optimized for Web streaming, Web download, and CD-ROM playback. Because you access the QuickTime File Exporter differently than the other plug-ins, it’s covered in the next section.
