Creating a Batch List
You can log clips to a batch list in two ways. When you use device control, you can create a batch list as you view the timecoded tape in Premiere’s Movie Capture window. If the tape is unavailable (or if a timecode-capable deck is unavailable), you can log a batch list manually. To log manually, you’ll need a written list of accurate timecode starting and ending numbers ready. Logging manually can help you remain productive (saving you time and money) if you do not always have access to a system that has a deck and device control.
To generate a batch list with device control:
1. | Set up device control, as explained in the section “Using Device Control” earlier in this chapter.
