Trimming a Project

The Project Trimmer command automatically prepares your project for recapturing clips by creating a trimmed project and a trimmed batch list.

A trimmed project is an exact duplicate of your project, except that it adds a number to the names of all the clips. The new names differentiates the clips of a trimmed project from those of the original project.

Because they’re created from the trimmed project, clips in the trimmed batch list also have a number appended to their file names. More important, a trimmed batch list includes only the portions of the clips that you used in the program.
