So, at this point you’ve done your director’s script analysis, and hopefully your producer’s breakdown. You have a sharp sense of the story you want to tell, and some ideas of how to execute it. The next step on the journey is to translate this knowledge into forms the crew and cast can use.

Since no one has come up with a commercially viable telepathy device, you’ll have to put together a “look-book.” This doesn’t have to be a single document. But it should show in as concrete a way as possible what you want to achieve in your film, and how you want to get there. ...
