Preparing to Deliver a Presentation
When I coach a client, I always ask, “How do you prepare a presentation? Do you just start writing? Do you sit and think before you write? Do you begin at the beginning, the end, or in the middle?” Most presenters want to dive into the preparation right away. They want to start writing everything they know about a particular subject, so the audience will know they know the subject matter. That’s like going to a movie, and instead of the opening scene, there is an interview with the screen writer.
