Feedback on an Effectiveness and Derailment Profile
Many organizations have armchair effectiveness profiles (meaning what attributes top managers think they possess or ought to possess), a few have data-based ones, but only a smattering have derailment profiles. In our experience working with these profiles, many are flawed in at least some of the following ways: too much emphasis on technical/functional knowledge, too many murky terms like vision and aggressiveness, too limited a notion of what effectiveness is, and no measurement of flaws.
