Chapter 18. Two Example Simulations
We conclude our study of simulation techniques and methodology by presenting two very different examples. The first example is a simulation of a CDMA system operating in a multipath/fading environment. Thermal noise and interference are also included in the simulation model. A number of performance results can be generated by the simulation model. These include the bit error rate (BER) as a function of the thermal noise level (PE versus Eb/N0), BER as a function of the spreading factor (spread-spectrum processing gain), and BER as a function of the number of interfering signals.
