In this chapter we shall describe a number of applications of junction diodes and transistors which do not properly belong in earlier chapters.
As we have seen, many of the properties of transistors depend on the current in them and hence on the supply voltage. To ensure consistency in the performance of transistor equipment it is therefore common practice to stabilise the supply voltage.
Fig. 16.1 gives the diagram of a simple circuit suitable for use where only a small current is required from the stable voltage source.
