Conduction mechanisms in printed thick-film resistors

Abstract:

The current theoretical understanding of the electron transport mechanism in thick-film resistors is reviewed and critically discussed in relation to the transport problem for other classes of conductor–insulator composites. The filler concentration and temperature dependencies of transport are analysed in terms of both percolation and tunnelling (i.e. hopping) processes.
