Abstract:
This chapter describes the constitution of the polymer solar cell with general focus on upscaling, large-scale industrial manufacture and demonstration of the technology. Initially, the classical device architecture and function of the polymer solar cell are described and the upscaling to large area production, with aims and limitations, is discussed.
