Ink Essentials

Good inks are an expensive necessity for a professional photographer, much like the expense of professional film and processing. There’s simply no compromise to be made with ink, but it’s important to understand the different qualities available. When photo-quality inkjets were first introduced to photographers, initial skepticism centered on poor lightfastness and unreliable quality. Nowadays, the big two hardware manufacturers are on their fifth-generation inksets and great advances have been made.
