18.7. The IPO Process

The process for publicly listing a company can be divided into two main sub-phases: the organization and the execution of the quotation.

18.7.1. The organization phase

This phase consists mainly of a feasibility study of the quotation project, which analyzes all the elements that must be evaluated before going public such as the real will and desire of the majority shareholders, the market where the shares will be listed, the definition process for the price of the share, and checking the quotation requirements. The organization activities are usually executed with the involvement of one or more specialized financial intermediaries (named advisors who also participate in the quotation syndicate).
