In this chapter, we will show you how to prepare your application for deployment and perform an example deployment.
There are lots of different ways of deploying an ASP.NET Framework application and a wide range of different deployment targets. You can deploy to a Windows Server machine running Internet Information Services (IIS) that you run and manage locally, you can deploy to a remote hosting service that manages servers for you, or, increasingly, you can deploy to a cloud infrastructure platform that provisions and scales your application to seamlessly meet demand.
