Map Controls and Styles
Map controls are UI elements connected to JavaScript functions that allow users to interact with a map in many different ways. Map controls can be positioned on the map itself or outside of it. In this chapter I talk about controls positioned on the map. I’ll talk about more complex UIs containing controls positioned outside the map in the following chapter.
After talking about controls, I will show you how to use styles to customize the presentation of the map. Styles permit you to modify map features such as roads, parks, and rivers.
