Using DOM scripting to add unobtrusive JavaScript to a page (meaning that it doesn't interfere with unsupported browsers nor people who have JavaScript disabled) you will be able to provide all sorts of modern enhancements that your users will be able to enjoy without harming those who are unable to utilize them.
