Installing the Oracle Binaries

Oracle installations can be large, complex, and cumbersome. This is one reason you usually ask an Oracle DBA to install the software. You want somebody who has previously performed installations and knows how to troubleshoot when problems arise. For this reason, installing the Oracle software (binaries) is a task that every DBA must be proficient with.
