Upgrading from Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007 (MOSS)

One of the major gripes about moving from SharePoint Portal Server 2003 to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 was that the upgrade was not a clean process. In defense of Microsoft, the difference in architecture between SPS 2003 and MOSS 2007 was significant, and one could only imagine the complexities involved in migrating data from an SPS 2003 database schema to that of MOSS 2007.
