Application Lifecycle Management

As indicated, the continuous process of managing the life of an application through governance, development, and maintenance is referred to as application lifecycle management. An important element that informs an organization’s approach to this process is its philosophy of application development and change management. In some cases, a formal, somewhat tightly controlled approach is preferred. In such an organization, custom development or packaged solutions are often the first course of action.
