Backup Using SharePoint

Using the built-in SharePoint backup tools will produce the most complete picture of your SharePoint environment. The most important parts are the content databases, and they are preserved this way. Every SharePoint farm is unique because so many parts are only part of that farm. For example, the server names and IP addresses are unique in your domain, and the content is unique.
