This section deals with the creation of components for deployment to a SharePoint server farm. Most of these components contain some amount of software code and generally require development skills and tools to create. This discussion is intended to provide an understanding of the purpose of each of these components, not a detailed tutorial on creating them. The goal is to understand the issues that the governance team must consider when performing application management in the SharePoint environment.
