So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Exploring the Alternatives
The world of integration has a storied history and can be overwhelming to the newcomer. There are at least half a dozen viable open source solutions, and at least a dozen (very) expensive, proprietary integration solutions. Although the open source solutions can meet most integration challenges, there are some technologies that don't lend themselves to the open source ecosystem because they are of a proprietary nature, or represent a relatively niche concern that the community hasn't suitably addressed.
