Chapter 6. SQL Server Analysis Services
In Chapter 4, we walked through the development of a basic SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) cube as a way to allow for increased ad hoc exploration of key business data via Excel. In this chapter, we'll explore a couple of key scenarios that dive deeper into using SSAS to look at how data is changing over time and to look for deeper patterns in the data that are critical for sales and marketing analytical programs. The goal remains to allow key business users to explore the data and answer their own questions.
