Introduction
In the first part of this book we focused on the foundations of SQL Server Wait Statistics. I believe that understanding these foundations are necessary before you move on to reading about specific Wait Types, knowing how Wait Types and Wait Times are generated will help you resolve, or lower, problematic waits faster.
In this second part we won’t go back into detail about how Wait Statistics are generated, or explain the various DMV’s you can use to analyze and troubleshoot them. Instead we will focus on specific Wait Types and give you the tools needed to troubleshoot them.
