9.2. RadBinaryImage

The RadBinaryImage control displays images stored in databases in binary format, so clearly, the control is designed for use in data-bound controls such as ASP.NET Repeater, DataList, and GridView, as well as with Telerik's RadGrid, RadListView, and so forth. The control uses an internal HTTP handler, which streams the image from the binary source to the page in which it has to be visualized.

It is important to understand that an image loaded to RadBinaryImage is cached in the browser for up to 2 hours, and if browser cache is disabled, the image is cached in the server for up to 2 minutes before the data is requested again to the database server.
