6.3. Summary
In this chapter, we have begun examining the Data RadControls and the most important capabilities they expose for the purpose of manipulating data. Specifically, we have looked at the RadComboBox and RadGrid.
RadComboBox is an advanced drop-down control that can be configured to load all items initially or particular items on demand. It supports different binding mechanisms including ASP.NET 2.0+ data sources, web services, and in-memory collections. It also supports item templates to enhance the usability of the control and present a lot of more information and functionality in a drop-down manner.
