VISUAL-BLOCK Mode
We’ve already seen how Vim allows us to visually select content and manipulate the selection, using a wide range of commands. But Vim also provides a variation of the selection feature known as VISUAL-BLOCK mode.
As the name suggests, this mode allows us to select and manipulate content in a block form (meaning we can select content within a specific rectangular area and make changes that are applied to each line of the selection). This feature gives us yet another dimension for modifying and extending the granular control we have over our content.
