Conclusion

I was born at home, in a trailer, on the third anniversary of Roe v. Wade. The irony—or serendipity—that the day of my birth coincided with the Supreme Court decision that would have allowed my mother to legally end her pregnancy is not lost on me. Since starting Exhale, my birthday has never felt like my own.

A year into running Exhale, I was invited to sit on a panel at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco to discuss the state of abortion politics in honor of Roe v. Wade.
