Using Semantic Zoom

In this chapter, I describe the last of the WinJS UI controls, which is called SemanticZoom. This control represents one of the key user interactions in Windows and allows the user to zoom between two levels of detail in a data set. The control itself is relatively simple and relies on a pair of ListView controls to do all the hard work (I described in ListView control in Chapter 15). In this chapter, I show you how to use the SemanticZoom and demonstrate an alternative approach which shows two levels of detail simultaneously. Table 16-1 provides the summary for this chapter.
