Themes, Panels, and Controls
WHAT’S NEW IN WINDOWS 8.1
Windows 8.1 brings several new controls as well as updates existing controls. The new controls that we will be discussing in this chapter are the DatePicker, TimePicker, Flyout, and MenuFlyout controls.
Updates include the ability to add a Header to the DatePicker, TimePicker, TextBox, PasswordBox, RichEditBox, ComboBox, and Slider, and also add PlaceholderText (watermarks) to the TextBox, PasswordBox, RichEditBox, and ComboBox.
