Sampling Distributions
4.1 Introduction
In statistics, we deal with the method of collection, classification and analysis of quantitative data for drawing inferences and making decisions. Instead of examining the entire collection called the population, which may be difficult or impossible, we may examine a small part of it called a sample. We deal with a particular kind of sample called random sample. We do this with the aim of drawing certain inferences about the population from results found in the sample, a process known as statistical inference.
