Hopfield Optimization Techniques Applied to Routing in Computer Networks

Abstract

Hopfield networks are investigated as a means of implementing Quality of Service (QOS)-driven routing in multimedia computer networks. A new mapping of router networks onto continuous Hopfield networks is derived. Simulations for a network of 10 routers show the dependencies on parameters and the difficulties encountered.
