Prediction of Access Line Growth

Abstract
The revenue of a telephone company is strongly related to the number of its access lines. Accurate forecasts of a company’s future revenue will be possible only if the future access line growth is predicted accurately. This work models the access line growth at the operating company level. A baseline neural network access line predictor is demonstrated that is superior to a simple AR model. Finally, more complicated access line growth models are discussed and access line time series with level shifts are presented.
